Farmers Bank & Trust Company is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1906. Originally named Farmers Bank & Trust Company, it has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. On May 28, 1991, the bank moved its main office to 200 East Main Street in Magnolia, Arkansas. In 2008, it made pivotal regulatory changes by becoming a state-chartered bank and a member of the Federal Reserve System on November 5. The institution also changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on the same day. In the following years, Farmers Bank & Trust expanded its operations through acquisitions, purchasing Southern State Bank in Malvern, Arkansas on February 8, 2008, and 1st Bank, National Association in Texarkana, Texas on January 17, 2015.
