History Of Farmers Bank
Farmers Bank is a financial institution established on May 11, 1917, originally named The Farmers National Bank of Buhl. Over the years, it has undergone several changes in name, regulatory status, and location. On June 30, 1972, the main office relocated to 920 Main Street in Buhl, Idaho, followed by another move to 910 Main Street on September 29, 1977. The bank subsequently moved to its current location at 914 Main Street on February 28, 1997. In December 2014, the institution changed its name to Farmers Bank and transitioned from being a member of the Federal Reserve System to a state-chartered bank under the Federal Reserve's supervision. This change was finalized on January 2, 2015, when the primary federal regulatory agency was officially changed to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
