The bank underwent a significant name change on June 18, 1987, adopting its current name while simultaneously changing its chartering agency to the state level and withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. On that same date, Farmers and Merchants Bank acquired another financial entity, Bank of Granite, located in Granite, Oklahoma. Earlier that year, on January 15, 1987, the bank also acquired The First National Bank of Rush Springs in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. In subsequent years, the bank's main office was moved twice; first to Main Street in Maysville, Oklahoma, on January 15, 1987, and later to its current location at 621 Main Street, Maysville, Oklahoma, on June 1, 2010.
