Farmers and Merchants Bank

Farmers and Merchants Bank was established on July 1, 1907, serving the financial needs of its community. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operations and locations. On April 18, 1990, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Axtell, Nebraska. Further changes occurred on October 10, 2007, when the main office was moved to 402 Main Street in Axtell, Nebraska. Ultimately, the institution merged with First State Bank in Loomis, Nebraska, on December 1, 2022, thus concluding its long-standing presence in the region.
