Emprise Bank

Emprise Bank, established on May 21, 1910, as The Union Stock Yards National Bank, has undergone several name changes and expansions since its inception. In 1959, the institution became known as Stockyards National Bank, and in 1973, it further changed its name to United American State Bank & Trust Company after withdrawing from the Federal Reserve System. The bank continued to evolve and became United American Bank & Trust Company in 1976. A significant transformation occurred in 1989 when the bank adopted the name Emprise Bank and underwent a series of acquisitions that included the Wichita State Bank and National Bank of Wichita. During the 1990s, Emprise Bank expanded its footprint by acquiring other banks, including Wichita Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1997. The bank continued its growth trajectory in the 2000s, with notable acquisitions such as The Prairie State Bank in Augusta, Kansas, in 2006. Throughout its history, Emprise Bank has moved its main office several times within Wichita, Kansas, with the most recent relocation taking place in 1997 to 257 North Broadway. Today, Emprise Bank remains a prominent financial institution in Kansas.
