In 1970, it became known as The Elmira Savings Bank, and in 1983, it changed its name to The Elmira Savings Bank, FSB, while also switching its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. In 1985, the bank transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank organization type. Following a series of regulatory changes, including a shift to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation supervision in 2011, the bank changed its name to Elmira Savings Bank on January 1, 2012. After operating for over one hundred years, Elmira Savings Bank ultimately merged with Community Bank, National Association on May 14, 2022, thereby ceasing its independent operations.
