Over the years, the institution expanded its services and geographic reach through a series of acquisitions. In late 1982, it transitioned its trust powers to a limited capacity, with updates made on November 22 and December 31 of that year. The bank furthered its growth in 1983 by acquiring the Bank of Summer Shade located in Summer Shade, Kentucky. On May 16, 1997, the main office was relocated to 909 West Main Street, Glasgow, Kentucky. In 2002, Edmonton State Bank acquired Peoples Bank of Tompkinsville in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
