History Of Delanco Federal Savings Bank
Delanco Federal Savings Bank was established in 1890 under the name Delanco Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several regulatory and organizational changes. On November 14, 1994, it changed its organization type to a Mutual Savings Bank and its name to Delanco Federal Savings Bank, while also transitioning its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. In 2002, the bank modified its organizational structure to become a Stock Savings Bank. On July 21, 2011, the primary federal regulatory agency was changed to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Ultimately, on April 30, 2018, Delanco Federal Savings Bank merged with First Bank, which is based in Hamilton, New Jersey, marking the end of its independent operations.
