Cypress Bank, Ssb, is a financial institution that has undergone several changes throughout its history. The organization was established on January 1, 1976, initially operating under the name Cypress Savings and Loan Association. On November 30, 1984, it changed its name to Cypress Banc Savings Association. Subsequently, on June 30, 1989, it transitioned to a stock savings bank and changed its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. In 1990, the main office was relocated to 120 South Greer Boulevard in Pittsburg, Texas. The institution underwent a significant rebranding on October 1, 2011, when it changed its name to Cypress Bank, Ssb, and simultaneously changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and its bank class to FDIC Supervised State Savings Bank. Prior to this change, from July 21, 2011, it was regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
