Cumberland Valley National Bank has a history dating back to its establishment on January 1, 1904, originally under the name The First National Bank of East Bernstadt. Over the ensuing decades, the institution underwent several name changes and relocations. On June 9, 1939, it became known as Second National Bank of London, and later, on October 1, 1972, the name was changed to Cumberland Valley National Bank & Trust Company. The bank expanded through acquisition, notably acquiring Corbin Deposit Bank & Trust Company on July 1, 1993. The main office subsequently moved multiple times; it was relocated to Main Street in London, Kentucky, on March 20, 1990, then to 1715 Big Hill Road in Berea, Kentucky, on April 1, 1998. The bank's office in East Bernstadt was established at 1112 Highway 490 on October 2, 2000.
