Cumberland County Bank was established on April 1, 1961, in Crossville, Tennessee. Over the years, it underwent several changes, including modifications to its trust powers, which were limited on June 27, 1991. On October 23, 2001, the bank's main office was relocated to 225 West Avenue in Crossville, Tennessee. In a significant transition on April 29, 2016, Cumberland County Bank merged with and became part of Bank of Putnam County, adopting the latter's name.
