History Of CSB Bank

CSB Bank was established on June 20, 1898, under the name Capac State Savings Bank. It underwent a rebranding on March 19, 1991, when it changed its name to Capac State Bank. The institution further updated its name to CSB Bank on August 1, 1996. On December 3, 2016, CSB Bank merged with Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co., located in Lapeer, Michigan, and subsequently changed its name to Lakestone Bank & Trust on December 5, 2016. The bank continued to operate under this new name until May 16, 2020, when it merged with ChoiceOne Bank, based in Sparta, Michigan.
