History Of Crossroads Bank
Crossroads Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1920, originally under the name First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Wabash. It underwent several name changes and organizational transformations throughout its history. On March 31, 1987, the institution became known as First Federal Savings Bank of Wabash, and it restructured as a Mutual Savings Bank. A further change occurred on April 1, 1993, when it transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank. The bank took on the name Crossroads Bank on January 1, 2008. In 2016, it changed its organization type to a Commercial Bank, its chartering agency to a State agency, and its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), while also changing its bank class to a State Chartered Bank, not a member of the Federal Reserve System. Subsequently, on October 30, 2017, the institution limited its trust powers and reiterated its name as Crossroads Bank. The main office of the bank moved to 1205 North Cass Street in Wabash, Indiana, on October 31, 1986.
