History Of Cross Keys Bank
Cross Keys Bank, established on April 2, 1902, originally operated under the name Bank of St. Joseph & Trust Company. Throughout its history, the institution has undergone several significant changes. In 1982, the main office relocated to Main Street in Saint Joseph, Louisiana, and its trust powers were categorized as limited. The bank further modified its trust powers in 1985 to none. On March 27, 1987, Cross Keys Bank acquired Tallulah State Bank & Trust Company in Tallulah, Louisiana, and subsequently moved its main office to the same location in Saint Joseph. The bank continued to expand by acquiring The Sterlington Bank in Sterlington, Louisiana, on July 13, 1989. On October 16, 1989, it officially changed its name to Cross Keys Bank. The main office was later moved again on March 31, 2006, to a new location at 307 Plank Road in Saint Joseph, Louisiana.
