Corydon State Bank was established on January 1, 1926, and has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. Initially, the bank was a member of the Federal Reserve System, having achieved this status on June 22, 1940. At that time, it also became classified as a state-chartered bank. However, on March 29, 1965, the institution withdrew from the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), subsequently reclassifying itself as a state-chartered bank and no longer a member of the Federal Reserve System.
