Cornerstone Bank was established on February 20, 2001, originally bearing the name CornerstoneBank. On the same day, the bank moved its main office to 2060 Mount Paran Road, Northwest, Suite 100, Atlanta, Georgia 30327. In July 2011, the bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The institution continued to operate until October 2, 2021, when it merged with CoastalStates Bank and became a part of that banking entity in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
