Copiah Bank, originally established as the Bank of Hazlehurst on October 26, 1891, has undergone several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. In 1984, the bank changed its name to the Bank of Hazlehurst, National Association, and subsequently to Copiah Bank, National Association, the same year. During this time, it also became a member of the Federal Reserve System and switched its chartering agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The main office was relocated to 101 Caldwell Drive in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, on February 26, 1990. On June 29, 2016, the institution rebranded itself as Copiah Bank and transitioned its charter to a state-chartered bank, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve.
