Connection Bank is a financial institution with its origins dating back to July 1, 1854, when it was established as the Fort Madison Savings Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes, including a rebranding to Fort Madison Bank & Trust Company on March 1, 1968. In its growth trajectory, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring the Bank of Dallas City in Dallas City, Illinois, on October 1, 1999.
