Community State Bank

Community State Bank was established on January 1, 1894, originally operating under the name The Clarence Savings Bank. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and restructuring. In 1984, it became known as Community State Bank following the acquisition of Union Trust and Savings Bank in Stanwood, Iowa. The bank transitioned to Community National Bank in 1991 before reverting to its current name in December 1992, when it also changed its trust powers to full and became regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank's main office was relocated several times, first moving to 509 Lynn Street in Tipton, Iowa in August 1991, and again to 801 West Main Street in West Branch, Iowa in November 1999. In December 2007, the main office was moved back to Tipton. On October 11, 2019, Community State Bank merged with Fidelity Bank & Trust, which is based in Dubuque, Iowa.
