Community Resource Bank is a financial institution located in Northfield, Minnesota, with a history that dates back to its establishment on September 18, 1878, originally named Northfield National Bank and Trust Company. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes, becoming Northfield National Bank in December 1952, then First Bank (n.a.) - Northfield on August 22, 1979, and subsequently Community National Bank on April 1, 1987. In May 1999, the bank expanded by acquiring Roseville Community Bank, National Association in Roseville, Minnesota. On June 28, 2006, the institution changed its name to Community Resource Bank and transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to the Federal Reserve System (FRS). That same day, it also altered its charter status to become a state-chartered bank, no longer a member of the FRS.
