History Of Community National Bank
Community National Bank was established on October 27, 1964, under the name First National County Bank in Spring City, Tennessee. The institution underwent several name changes, becoming First National Bank of Rhea County on April 8, 1977, and Rhea County National Bank on April 1, 1986. The bank's main office moved to 101 West Main Street, Dayton, Tennessee, on June 17, 1986, before officially adopting the name Community National Bank on January 1, 2003. On May 13, 2004, the main office was relocated to 1271 Market Street, Dayton, Tennessee. Throughout its history, Community National Bank expanded through acquisitions, notably purchasing Rossville Bank in Rossville, Georgia, on February 28, 2009. However, the bank ultimately merged with SimplyBank in Spring City, Tennessee, on March 19, 2021. This was followed by another merger on July 1, 2024, when Community National Bank became part of First Financial Bank, National Association, based in Terre Haute, Indiana.
