History Of Community Bank
Community Bank, National Association, was established on April 15, 1904, under the name Summersville State Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and structural transformations. On January 2, 1998, it changed its name to First National Bank and simultaneously became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with its primary federal regulatory agency and chartering authority being designated to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The bank transitioned to full trust powers on June 8, 1998. Subsequently, on December 1, 1999, it adopted the name Community Bank, National Association. The main office was relocated to Main Street in Summersville, Missouri, on April 11, 1990. Ultimately, on April 9, 2016, Community Bank merged with Security Bank of the Ozarks, based in Eminence, Missouri.
