The institution adopted the name Commercial Bank in 1986 after acquiring Union County Bank in Maynardville, Tennessee. In 1996, Commercial Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. The bank later relocated its main office to 6710 Cumberland Gap Parkway in Harrogate, Tennessee. Throughout the years, Commercial Bank has expanded its footprint through strategic acquisitions, including Middlesboro Federal Bank in Middlesboro, Kentucky in 2001, The Union National Bank and Trust Company of Barbourville in 2008, and the National Bank of Tennessee in Newport, Tennessee in 2016.
