Commerce Bank is a financial institution established on February 21, 1984, originally known as The Lenexa National Bank. It rebranded to Commerce Bank, National Association, on January 1, 1993, and began expanding through a series of acquisitions across various states. Significant milestones include the acquisition of The Twin-City State Bank in Kansas City, Kansas, on November 19, 1994, and the main office relocation to 1000 Walnut Street in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 1, 1995. The bank continued its growth by acquiring multiple smaller banks, notably including the Commerce Bank in Lawrence, Kansas, and several others in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma throughout the 1990s and 2000s. On June 29, 2011, the institution changed its name to Commerce Bank and transitioned to a State Chartered Bank under the Federal Reserve System. Numerous efforts have been exerted to persuade the bank to disclose transaction details regarding unaccounted funds from my mother's account, yet everyone from her personal banker to the branch manager has failed to provide the detailed transaction statement necessary to trace the missing money. My mother has two very large accounts at this Bank and we went twice in the last week to get cash out. It seemed like it took forever, and both times they just sent our money to us in the Drive-Thru without even saying thank you. I don't know who is training these people, but that's just common courtesy. Especially when you have a large account with them.... Read more
