COLONIAL BANK

Colonial Bank, originally established as the Young Men's Savings and Loan Association in 1913, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On October 7, 1994, the institution was renamed Colonial Bank, FSB, and transitioned from a charter regulated by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) to a mutual savings bank. In 2003, it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank. By July 21, 2011, Colonial Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. After relocating its main office to 2745 South Delsea Drive in Vineland, New Jersey, on June 22, 2007, the bank continued its evolution. On April 1, 2015, Colonial Bank merged with Cape Bank, located in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, and subsequently changed its name to Cape Bank on the same day. The final chapter in its history occurred on May 2, 2016, when Cape Bank merged with OceanFirst Bank in Toms River, New Jersey, effectively ending the Colonial Bank name.
