HISTORY OF CNB BANK
CNB Bank, Inc. is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1917, originally named Citizens National Bank of Berkeley Springs. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operational structure and regulatory status. On October 16, 2006, it transitioned to a state-chartered bank and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, simultaneously changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank also moved its main office to 101 South Washington Street in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, on the same date. In a rebranding effort, it officially changed its name to Cnb Bank, Inc. on June 12, 2013. Prior to these changes, on August 2, 1993, CNB Bank expanded its services by acquiring full trust powers.
