CNB Bank and Trust, originally established as The Carlinville National Bank in 1888, is a financial institution based in Carlinville, Illinois. Over the years, the bank has undergone several changes and expansions. In 1975, the main office moved to West Side Square in Carlinville. The institution changed its name to CNB Bank and Trust, N.A. in July 2011, coinciding with the acquisition of multiple banks, including Cornerstone Bank & Trust, National Association in Carrollton, Citizens State Bank of Shipman in Shipman, and Palmer Bank in Taylorville on the same date. Additionally, in June 2010, the main office relocated to 450 West Side Square, Carlinville, Illinois. The bank further expanded its footprint in February 2009 through the acquisition of Corn Belt Bank and Trust Company in Pittsfield as part of a government-assisted merger. Most recently, in February 2019, CNB Bank and Trust acquired Jacksonville Savings Bank in Jacksonville, Illinois.
