CMS Bank

CMS Bank was originally established on February 1, 1980, under the name Community Mutual Savings Bank of Southern New York. Throughout its history, the institution underwent several name and regulatory changes. It became known as Community Mutual Savings Bank in 1984. In 2007, the bank transitioned to being classified as a Federal Savings Bank and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. On June 29, 2012, the bank rebranded as CMS Bank, shifted its regulatory oversight to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and updated its classification to an FDIC Supervised State Savings Bank. On April 29, 2015, CMS Bank merged with Putnam County Savings Bank, located in Brewster, New York. Subsequently, on August 19, 2015, the institution officially changed its name to PCSB Bank.
