History Of Cleo State Bank
Cleo State Bank is a financial institution established on October 25, 1900, in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma. Originally named Cleo State Bank, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and maintained this status until it withdrew from the system on October 10, 1969, at which point it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and reclassified as a state-chartered bank. The institution underwent a name change to Cleo State Bank on August 12, 1947, prior to its withdrawal from the Federal Reserve. Over the years, Cleo State Bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, including The First National Bank in Carmen in 1989 and First State Bank in Jet in 1985. The bank's main office has moved several times, with significant relocations occurring on April 19, 1990, to Town Square in Cleo Springs, and again on March 31, 2006, to its current location at 202 South Square in Cleo Springs.
