Classic Bank, National Association, was established on August 22, 1889, under the name First National Bank in Cameron. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes. On February 25, 1993, it acquired The Planters National Bank of Rosebud located in Rosebud, Texas. Subsequently, on July 1, 1995, Classic Bank acquired Lee County National Bank in Giddings, Texas, and relocated its main office to 102 North Houston Street in Cameron, Texas. My wife and I both had very large CD's coming due and based on the rates coming down so much we were looking for options.
