Clarke County State Bank was established on January 3, 1935, as a financial institution serving the community of Osceola, Iowa. Over the decades, the bank operated primarily from its original location until December 30, 1989, when its main office was relocated to 139 South Main Street in Osceola. As part of its evolution, Clarke County State Bank ceased to exist as an independent entity when it merged with First National Bank of Ames, Iowa, on September 15, 2018. The merger integrated Clarke County State Bank into the larger banking institution, allowing it to further extend its services in the Ames area and beyond.
