History Of City National Bank of Florida
City National Bank of Florida, established on August 12, 1970, originally operated under the name City Bank of Hallandale. It underwent a name change to City National Bank of Hallandale on June 12, 1972, the same day it changed its chartering agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. The bank's main office was relocated to 1995 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Hallandale, Florida. On May 31, 1987, City National Bank of Hallandale acquired City National Bank of Miami and subsequently moved its headquarters to 25 West Flagler Street, Miami, Florida. The institution adopted its current name, City National Bank of Florida, on July 7, 1983. In June 2018, the bank further expanded its operations by acquiring TotalBank, also based in Miami, Florida. Most recently, on October 9, 2020, City National Bank of Florida acquired Executive National Bank and moved its main office to 25 West Flagler Street in Miami.
