City Bank, originally established as City Bank, National Association on April 13, 1984, is a financial institution based in Lubbock, Texas. The bank underwent a series of significant transformations and acquisitions over the years. In 1987, it rebranded itself to its current name, City Bank, and changed its regulatory status to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, while also withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. The bank expanded its operations through various acquisitions, including Security National Bank of Lubbock in 1984, West Texas Trust Company in 2001, and The Farmers National Bank of Forney later that same year. City Bank also acquired South Plains Bank in 1999 and City Bank New Mexico in 2014. Its main office was relocated to 5219 City Bank Parkway in Lubbock in October 2010.
