Branch Reviews & Complaints
This Bank is the best! Ever felt like your bank doesn't really care about you, and you were just a number to them? Ever just been mad at your bank? Let me introduce you to Citizens State Bank. I had my first ever savings account as a kid probably 50 years ago, then I grew up and moved away from the area. After many years I returned to the area and started a new bank account. There was no doubt at all what bank I would choose. I have watched them (through my parent's eyes) over time. They resisted the pressure to become a "big town bank". They have grown, but still stayed a "small town bank". They have gotten more technologically sophisticated, but still kept their hometown focus. They have attracted more customers, but still will give you personal attention. You are more than a number. You genuinely are a person to them. To give you a reference, recently we have been the victims of some attempted identity fraud. Someone had tried to change some of my banking information to gain access. I don't have a lot of money in the bank but what I do have is important to me. So, this bank took the time to call me and alert me to the change of address and to confirm it. Had they not done that I might have been the next statistic. After that phone call I wanted to talk to someone in charge and discuss protecting my account. I didn't just get a manager, I got a vice president. I got good counsel and all the time I needed to discuss it. But his first words were Hey, how's your family doing? EVERY time I call this bank I get pleasant, friendly help. REAL help, not a run around. This is just my opinion, but you can't/won't get that in most banks. In fact, I can only think of one... Citizens State Bank. So good job, No, GREAT job Jane Ann, and Rich! You guys really are the best!
