Citizens State Bank was established on January 1, 1906, under the name Citizens State Bank. Over the years, it underwent several organizational changes and relocations. On December 31, 1989, the bank's main office moved to Main Street in Morland, Kansas. Subsequently, on March 16, 2009, the main office relocated again to 511 West Main Street in Morland, Kansas. A significant merger occurred on July 1, 2017, when Citizens State Bank became part of Peoples State Bank, located in Manhattan, Kansas. Finally, on April 24, 2023, the institution officially changed its name to Outdoor Bank.
