History Of Citizens State Bank
Citizens State Bank was established on February 24, 1947, originally under the name Citizens Bank. Throughout its history, the institution underwent several changes in location and branding. On October 27, 1971, the bank changed its name to Citizens State Bank and moved its main office to 106 South Lee Street in Kingsland, Georgia. It later relocated its main office to East Kings Street in Kingsland on November 17, 1975, and subsequently to 201 East Kings Street on November 19, 2003. Further relocations included a move on March 6, 2006, to 201 East King Avenue, also in Kingsland. In a significant expansion, on April 24, 2007, Citizens State Bank acquired Old Florida Bank in Fort Myers, Florida. Ultimately, on September 1, 2016, Citizens State Bank merged with Pineland Bank, which is headquartered in Alma, Georgia, and adopted the name Pineland Bank following the merger.
