History Of Citizens State Bank
Citizens State Bank was established on June 7, 1947, in Anton, Texas. Initially, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and was classified as a state-chartered bank regulated by the Federal Reserve. On September 9, 1947, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. However, on March 21, 1957, Citizens State Bank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System and subsequently changed its regulatory affiliation to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), also reclassifying as a state-chartered bank not affiliated with the Federal Reserve.
