Citizens Federal Savings Bank is a financial institution that has undergone several name and regulatory changes since its establishment. The organization was founded in 1884 as Citizens Mutual Savings and Loan Association. On March 31, 1989, it changed its name to Citizens Savings and Loan Association. The institution transitioned to a mutual savings bank type on April 8, 1993, while also changing its name to Citizens Savings and Loan Association, FSB. This was accompanied by a change in its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). Following further reorganization, the primary federal regulatory agency was switched to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011. Finally, on January 22, 2020, the institution adopted its current name, Citizens Federal Savings Bank.
