Citizen's Bank was established on May 1, 1975, under the original name of Citizen's Bank. The institution underwent a name change on October 24, 1977, officially becoming known as Citizen's Bank. On July 1, 2017, Citizen's Bank merged with another financial institution and became part of Investar Bank in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
