History Of CIBM Bank
CIBM Bank, originally established as Arrowsmith State Bank in 1921, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 1989, the bank's main office was relocated to Main Street in Arrowsmith, Illinois. A series of name changes began in 1992 when it became Central Illinois Bank McLean County, followed by a further change to Central Illinois Bank in 1995. In 1998, the bank acquired Central Illinois Bank in Champaign, Illinois, and subsequently moved its main office to 2913 West Kirby Avenue in Champaign. The institution continued to evolve and became known as Cib Marine Bank on June 26, 2009, following its acquisition of Marine Bank in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It briefly changed its name to Cimb Bank before settling on CIBM Bank on August 9, 2010. The bank has periodically updated its trust powers, changing them to limited in 1998 and again in 2018, when they were changed to limited from none.
