Cheviot Savings Bank

Cheviot Savings Bank, originally established as Cheviot Building and Loan Company in 1911, underwent several name and organizational changes throughout its history. On April 27, 1998, the institution rebranded as The Cheviot Building and Loan Company, before changing its name to Cheviot Savings Bank on April 1, 2003. It also transitioned to a Stock Savings & Loan organization type on January 5, 2004. The bank's main office relocated to 3723 Glenmore Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 1, 2003. Over the years, Cheviot Savings Bank expanded through acquisitions, purchasing Monfort Heights Building and Loan Company in 1982 and The Franklin Savings and Loan Company in 2011. In 2011, the bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Cheviot Savings Bank was later merged into MainSource Bank in Greensburg, Indiana, on May 21, 2016, which itself was subsequently merged into First Financial Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 1, 2018.
