Charles Schwab Premier Bank, originally established as Nordstrom National Credit Bank on August 30, 1991, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On March 1, 2000, the institution changed its organization type to a stock savings bank and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, altering its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision. In subsequent years, the bank's main office relocated several times, moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, in May 2005, and to Henderson, Nevada, in November 2017, during which it was rebranded as Charles Schwab Signature Bank. On January 1, 2019, the institution adopted the name Charles Schwab Premier Bank.
