History Of Century Bank of Georgia
Century Bank of Georgia was established on June 29, 2000, originally under the name Century Bank of Bartow County. On August 23, 2006, the institution underwent a name change to Century Bank of Georgia. In a significant expansion effort, the bank acquired the Community Bank of Rockmart in Rockmart, Georgia, on November 10, 2011, as part of a government-assisted merger. After more than two decades of operation, Century Bank of Georgia merged with Southern States Bank on July 31, 2024, in Anniston, Alabama, thereby becoming part of the larger banking institution.
