Central State Bank was established on August 28, 1913. Originally named Central State Bank, it served the banking needs of its community for over a century. On July 14, 1981, the main office was relocated to 49 Benzie Boulevard in Beulah, Michigan. In a significant transition, the institution changed its name to State Savings Bank on October 1, 2018, coinciding with its merger into State Savings Bank located in Frankfort, Michigan.
