History Of Central Bank
Central Bank is a financial institution that originated as the Springville Banking Company, established on October 17, 1891. The bank underwent several name changes over the years, becoming Central Bank and Trust Company in 1966, and adopting the name Central Bank in 1990. In terms of regulatory affiliations, the institution was a member of the Federal Reserve System from its entry on February 2, 1934, until it withdrew from membership on January 10, 1967. Following this withdrawal, the bank reclassified as a state-chartered bank under the supervision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on the same date. Central Bank relocated its main office to 75 North University Avenue in Provo, Utah, on November 29, 2017.
