History Of Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks

The Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks was established on September 27, 1906, originally named the Bank of Brumley. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and relocations, including a significant rebranding to Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks on October 26, 1989. In the late 20th century, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring Camden County Bank on August 5, 1988, and moved its main office multiple times within Osage Beach, Missouri, with a notable relocation in 2001 to 3848 Osage Beach Parkway. On January 15, 2014, the institution changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, subsequently classified as a state-chartered bank. The bank continued its expansion by acquiring Bank Star One in Fulton, Missouri, on July 15, 2017. However, on October 1, 2021, Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks merged with The Central Trust Bank, located in Jefferson City, Missouri, marking the end of its independent operation.
