History Of Central Bank of Branson
The Central Bank of Branson was established on July 29, 1950, originally named The Peoples Bank of Branson. Over the years, it underwent several name changes, becoming The Peoples Bank and Trust of Branson, Missouri in March 1966, followed by Centerre Bank of Branson in January 1982. In December 1988, it was rebranded as Ozark Mountain Bank. On January 2, 2014, the institution changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and became a state-chartered bank, joining the Federal Reserve System. The main office of the bank was relocated to 400 South Commercial Street in Branson, Missouri on April 3, 1992. The name was changed to Central Bank of Branson on June 12, 2015. Ultimately, on October 1, 2021, the Central Bank of Branson merged with The Central Trust Bank, which is located in Jefferson City, Missouri.
