Central Bank of Boone County

The Central Bank of Boone County, originally established as The Boone County National Bank of Columbia in 1857, was a financial institution located in Columbia, Missouri. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a relocation of its main office to 720 East Broadway Street in Columbia on June 1, 1994. The bank continued to expand by acquiring other institutions, including South County Bank in Ashland, Missouri (1994), Sturgeon State Bank in Sturgeon, Missouri (1999), and The State Bank of Hallsville in Hallsville, Missouri (1999). On June 12, 2015, the bank changed its name to Central Bank of Boone County and transitioned to becoming a State Chartered Bank, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System. The primary federal regulatory agency for the bank was subsequently changed to the Federal Reserve. Ultimately, on October 1, 2021, the Central Bank of Boone County merged with The Central Trust Bank, based in Jefferson City, Missouri.
