History Of Central Bank
Central Bank, originally established as Central Bank & Trust Company on April 15, 1938, has undergone several significant changes and acquisitions throughout its history. The bank experienced a name change on October 13, 1971, to Central Bank & Trust Co. and subsequently moved its main office on multiple occasions within Lexington, Kentucky, with notable relocations to 163 West Short Street in 1971, 300 East Vine Street in 1980, and finally to 300 West Vine Street in 1988. The bank continued to expand its footprint in the industry, acquiring Pioneer Federal Savings Bank in Winchester, Kentucky, on August 31, 1998, followed by the acquisition of Central Bank, FSB in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on January 18, 2011. A significant milestone was reached on June 1, 2017, when the institution changed its name to Central Bank & Trust Company and acquired Central Bank of Jefferson County in Louisville, Kentucky.

Recently visited your city for an event. On the way out of town our car broke down in front of bank branch. We just needed a quick ride to auto parts store. It was during lunch. I asked the branch manager if someone would be kind enough to take us to pick up a part and he said everyone was too busy. In the 3 hours I sat there waiting for help there was only one customer.
