Centera Bank, originally established as The Haskell County State Bank on October 18, 1937, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. On April 1, 1999, the institution changed its name to Centera Bank. The bank expanded its presence through various acquisitions, including the purchase of The State Bank of Satanta in Satanta, Kansas, on June 10, 1994, and the acquisition of First State Bank in Greensburg, Kansas, on April 1, 1998. Further growth occurred when Centera Bank acquired The Peoples State Bank of Minneola, Kansas, on November 19, 2005.
